I am an authoritative host, a calm and decisive editor, and an experienced producer. At the heart of all that is the ability to tell complex stories in a straightforward way

As a regular anchor on BBC World News from 2018 to 2021, I broadcast to more than 100 million global weekly viewers. I interviewed people in power, and the people affected by their decisions. I covered the coronavirus pandemic, the Trump presidency, Brexit, Black Lives Matter, climate change, and countless breaking news stories. My warm and welcoming style, and my deep knowledge of global affairs means I can handle any kind of story; from triumph to tragedy. I was on-air as a reporter too, and have experience serving multiple outlets on developing stories.

During 2020, I returned to my broadcasting roots: reading the BBC World Service radio news to millions of listeners around the world.

Alongside my on-air roles, I was a senior journalist at BBC World News. I built and outputted hundreds of hours of live TV news, making dozens of editorial calls a day, and working with colleagues across continents. I’ve been in the control room for some of the biggest breaking stories of the last few years - including the night the UK Prime Minister was admitted to intensive care with Covid-19.

I’m particularly proud of my time as an editor of Outside Source, the most distinctive and innovative show on BBC News. During my time as an editor, the show’s ratings improved, we increased our digital footprint, and we pioneered new ways of telling stories across the BBC.

I learned to produce, edit, report and present from the start of my career, in local radio. For more details about what I’ve done, and what I can do, please continue exploring this site, or contact me.
